Confam — MoMo-Native Sales & Stock Accountability Tool

Confam is a product I founded to address a gap that no existing tool adequately fills: Ghanaian small businesses process most of their transactions through MTN Mobile Money or Vodafone Cash, but have no systematic way to reconcile those transactions against inventory, track attendant behaviour, or generate the records needed to access credit or meet GRA compliance requirements. Building Confam required me to think not just about the technical architecture (FastAPI backend, PostgreSQL, MoMo deduplication logic) but about information behaviour in an informal enterprise context: why do merchants who would benefit from better records often resist them? How do you design an information system that earns trust in an environment where formal systems have not historically been trustworthy? These are the questions that brought me to Management Information Systems and Information Science.
